Sight-saving treatment E-Gift

Bricha, a two-year-old donkey, arrived at our Marrakech animal health & welfare centre with painful inflamed eyes, her skin was raw and itchy with ulcerated patches. Her skin was so irritated that she constantly stopped to rub her face against trees, desperate for relief. Habronemiasis is a common parasitic condition which can affect the skin around the eyes of working animals. Thankfully, Bricha’s condition was treatable. Our team administered antiparasitic medication, cleaned her wounds to prevent a secondary infection and applied a topical ointment. Her owner, Darid, was given a supply of the ointment so they could continue Bricha’s treatment at home. Your gift will be used where it is needed most.
