A Big Thank You to Our Stride Out Community
Eight-year-old Laila saddled up on one of her favourite ponies, Billy, whilst striding out they a series of fun challenges to raise an impressive $120. Driven by her love for animals, Laila said, “I absolutely love horses, ponies and donkeys, so I really wanted to do something to help those in need.”
Natasha Welch took on a 100km trek across the Sahara, battling intense heat and an incredible physical and mental challenge. Inspired by the working animals she was supporting, she kept striding forward and raised an amazing $6,468.
Anne Marie Bowring and her dad took on an impressive 100 mile cycle stride out challenge, battling rain and steep hills along the way. After 7 hours and 48 minutes in the saddle, they crossed the finish line and raised a fantastic $1355 for working animals.
Since 2020, Jo Bell has taken on a new challenge every year, striding out locally — she has taken on a virtual Land’s End to John O’Groats walk and virtual London Marathons. We are incredibly grateful for her outstanding commitment and dedication.
To better understand the tough conditions working animals face, Bibi Hoad walked 100 miles in four days striding out around her home city of Brighton, all while dressed as a horse! Bibi’s incredible efforts raised $1257 for working animals.
Abbie Dickens used her place in the Liverpool Half Marathon to Stride Out for SPANA, completing the race with determination and raising $196 to support working animals, she said, “I’m very glad and proud to have raised money for such a great charity.”
